Eggs on toast is comfort food, but this one has turned up in heels.

We take proper French toast brioche, soak it so it bakes soft and custardy, then fold it into our all butter white chocolate blondie mix. Right in the middle sits a Cadbury Creme Egg, baked until the shell goes fudgy and the fondant turns into a molten, sticky pocket that bleeds into the crumb.

People love it because it hits two cravings at once. You get the warm, nostalgic “toast” vibe with a rich vanilla custard note, then that proper brownie heaven chew on the edges, and the Creme Egg centre does the final mic drop. It’s sweet, but not sickly, and it’s one of those bakes where every bite is different.

Best eaten slightly warm. Ten to fifteen seconds in the microwave and it goes from “nice” to “where has this been all my life?”
