Brownie Heaven is a UK-based online brownie delivery bakery, founded in 2003. What began as a small coffee shop in Anlaby Common, East Yorkshire, has grown into a nationwide service delivering handmade, gourmet brownies — affectionately known as Kneemelters — to customers across the UK.

The Moment That Changed Everything

At a farmers’ market in Beverley in 2006, something unforgettable happened. A runner, just finished with a 10k, stopped at our stall and tried a sample. Her knees literally gave way. She laughed and said:
“I must have one… but I’ve no money.”

We gave her a brownie anyway. Later that day, she returned — not just to repay us, but to buy two full bags. That was the moment we realised: we weren’t simply selling brownies. We were selling irresistible emotions. Happiness you can taste.

From Farmers’ Markets to Nationwide Brownie Delivery

Our “Kneemelters” became favourites at food festivals and local events, earning a reputation for rich, fudgy indulgence. By 2007, we launched Brownie Heaven online to share the joy beyond our local community.

Now based on the edge of the Cotswolds in Alcester, Warwickshire, our bakery has produced over one million brownies and shipped more than 40,000 parcels of happiness to doorsteps across the country.
